Dynamic Signal, the leading Employee Communication and Engagement Platform, has expanded operations to Belfast and will create a new technology centre, adding 100 jobs as growth continues. The Silicon Valley-based software firm offers technology that allows companies to communicate with all of their employees, on any device or channel, with relevant, targeted news, information and updates. Currently Dynamic Signal’s software is used by more than 30 percent of the Fortune 500, including UPS, Telefonica (O2), Volvo Group, BMW, Nestle, and ING.

The company plans to establish a technology centre in Belfast focused on software development work and customer success roles. Up to 100 staff will be recruited over the next 3-4 years.

Alastair Hamilton, CEO Invest Northern Ireland met with Dynamic Signal co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer, Steve Heyman, to welcome the company to Northern Ireland. Alastair said: “Managing employee communications across dispersed teams can be a challenge for large organisations. Dynamic Signal has taken an innovative social media approach to enable large businesses to effectively connect with employees and to allow them to effectively communicate with their peers.

“The company has identified growth potential and this new technology centre in Belfast will provide the team needed to develop new products and services, while also targeting developing markets in Europe and the UK. With a mix of software engineering and customer service roles, and an average salary in the mid-£30k range, this investment is another welcome addition to our growing ICT sector.”

Invest NI has offered the company £650,000 towards creating the new roles. Once in place, the jobs will contribute over £3.4 million in wages to the Northern Ireland economy.

Steve Heyman, co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer, Dynamic Signal said: “Dynamic Signal’s platform serves companies with upwards of 500 employees, and in particular, those with a high number of deskless or dispersed employees see the greatest benefit from our innovative solution. Our software allows company communication, HR, and marketing teams to segment staff and tailor different messages to different user groups, which we see as a real strength of our offering.

“This new centre in Northern Ireland will play an important role as we expand our products and services, and look to grow our global customer base. Invest NI provided invaluable insights into the region, its talent and the academic centres of excellence. We believe the skills available in the IT sector here, particularly in software development, and the quality of students graduating from third level education, makes this the right location for this new centre.”

Samantha Kirk, VP of Engineering and Site Lead in Belfast, said: “Dynamic Signal is committed to improving the employee experience at the world’s largest organisations by offering the most robust, intuitive, and sophisticated Employee Communication and Engagement Platform. Hiring candidates from the outstanding talent pool that we have here in Belfast will allow us to meet our ambitious growth plans. This new technology centre brings exciting opportunities to work with cutting edge technology, an inspiring team and the future in Employee Communication and Engagement.”

Dynamic Signal is currently based at River House in Belfast, with 7 staff already in place.
