The initiative aims to offer help in business mobility, digital training, sales, marketing and business productivity for companies within the SME community.
The Little Milk Company, based in Dungarvan, Co Waterford, was one of the businesses to benefit from the scheme.
It was awarded over €10,600 in digital solutions which saw staff receive a Google Export Markets workshop, tablets with 4G and mobile development and support.
“Mobile and digital is essential to achieving this (promotion) as we work and travel from our base in Waterford,” said Conor Mulhall of The Little Milk Company.
“Currently, funding for the best and most efficient technologies has been an obstacle but this will help the business to compete better and make the best use of resources.” Digital Boost 2015 ran for two rounds of funding this year.
In the first round it awarded €148,625 to 17 companies.
Smoothie Bikes, as part of Red Hot Productions, received the largest award of €21,995 from the second round. Other companies which received over €10,000 in funding were Heyday, Breakthrough Cancer Research, Travel Buddy and Unforgettable Flowers.
