Diversified UK food group, The Real Good Food Company, has strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of former British Sugar managing director, Gino De Jaegher, as the group’s chief operating officer, with immediate effect.

Gino De Jaegher has wide-ranging experience in marketing and sales of branded consumer goods and agriculture-based manufacturing businesses in the UK. After 21 years with Procter and Gamble based in Belgium, Turkey and the UK, working on brands such as Pringles, Pampers and Pantene, his most recent role was managing director of British Sugar, for a period of just over five years. Having left British Sugar in September 2012, Gino De Jaegher joined RGFC in a consultancy role to work alongside executive chairman, Pieter Totté, on key strategic projects. In his new role, he will take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the group, with the managing directors of each of the group’s five operating businesses reporting directly to him.

The Real Good Food Company owns Napier Brown (Europe’s biggest non-refining sugar distributor) as well as Renshaw and R&W Scott (bakery ingredients), Garrett Ingredients (dairy ingredients) and Haydens Bakery (patisserie and desserts).
