IDA Ireland secures site for proposed development of new Business Technology Park in Tullamore
IDA Ireland, with the support of Offaly County Council, has recently secured a c.26-hectare landbank in Tullamore, County Offaly for the proposed development of a new IDA Ireland Business Technology Park. This acquisition is aligned to IDA Ireland’s core objective to enable and deliver a competitive property offering which supports balanced regional economic investments, winning Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), and the growth and expansion of indigenous clients within the Enterprise Ireland portfolio.
As outlined in IDA Ireland’s current strategy Adapt Intelligently: A Strategy for Sustainable Growth and Innovation 2025-29, the agency is partnering with Local Authorities for the delivery of advance planning permits for buildings in regional locations. This site acquisition in Tullamore will enable the advancement of the building design, in partnership with Offaly County Council and subject to the statutory planning process, during the lifetime of the IDA Ireland strategy. This targeted approach to forward planning is vital in providing certainty for potential investors and to ensuring Ireland has a competitive offering that meets the evolving needs of both IDA Ireland and Enterprise Ireland clients.
