Pentagon Technologies Group, a subsidiary of Kurita Water Industries, has announced the establishment of a precision parts cleaning facility in Dundalk. The new facility is expected to create approximately 100 manufacturing jobs over the next five years. The facility represents an expansion of services to the semiconductor industry in Ireland.

Headquartered in Japan, Pentagon Technologies Inc develops and provides innovative products and services to improve productivity and utilisation of semi-conductor manufacturing equipment. This new facility, located at the IDA Science and Technology Park, Mullagharlin, Dundalk is strategic in supporting Pentagon Technology’s Irish and European customers.

“We are incredibly excited to expand our global footprint in precision parts cleaning services to Ireland. Pentagon has operated in Ireland for the past 20 years supporting new semiconductor fab construction and now has expanded our services for many years to come. We look forward to becoming a major employer in the Dundalk area,” said Dave Christeson, CEO of Pentagon.

Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Simon Coveney TD commented: “I welcome this development by Pentagon Technologies as they are set to expand their Dundalk operation, further strengthen their ties to the local community. Pentagon Technologies are leading the way in both Ireland and across Europe in providing innovative products and services to the thriving semiconductor and tech industries. This announcement will create over 100 manufacturing jobs to the North East region and underscores the IDA and Government’s priority for a balanced regional development throughout the country. I wish all the team at Pentagon Technologies the best for this new initiative.”

CEO for IDA Ireland Michael Lohan said: “Pentagon Technologies decision to expand its presence in Ireland with the establishment of a new state of the art facility in the North East region is a testament to the strategic appeal of Dundalk and the collaborative efforts between IDA Ireland and the team at Pentagon. The expected creation of 100 manufacturing jobs over the next five years is a substantial boost for the local economy, underscoring the attractiveness of Dundalk as a hub for cutting-edge technology and manufacturing. This announcement aligns with IDA Ireland’s ongoing efforts to position Ireland as a global leader in technology and innovation and exemplifies the success of our strategy to attract high-value investments to regional locations.”

Construction is in progress at the new site and the facility is expected to be operational in Q3 2024. Career opportunities at the new facility will include customer service, production, engineering, facilities, logistics and quality control.
