December Ryanair traffic grew to 9 million in December,  a 20 percent increase on the same time period the previous year, according to figures released on Wednesday. Load factor also increased to 94%, according to the same report, up from 91% in December 2015. Rolling annual  traffic to December rose to 117 million customers, an increase of 15%.

Commenting on the figures, Ryanair’s Kenny Jacobs said: “Ryanair’s December traffic grew by 20% to 9.0m customers, while our load factor jumped 3% points to 94%, on the back of lower fares in December and the continuing success of our “Always Getting Better” customer experience programme.”
