HayssenSandiacre wraps up deal with Cranswick Gourmet Pastry Company
Flexible packaging systems manufacturer HayssenSandiacre has won a contract to provide the Cranswick Gourmet Pastry Company with two flow wrappers.
The pastry firm is based in Malton, north Yorkshire, and the equipment will be used to wrap pies and pasties.
According to HayssenSandiacre, the Rose Foregrove Merlin HSE flow wrappers are flexible with an extensive machine range, suited for packing different products, and available with a variety of options including stainless steel construction, pin type perforator, infeed extensions and gusseting units. Rose Forgrove is part of the HayssenSandiacre business.
“We opted for Rose Forgrove Flow Wrappers because of their extensive experience working within the bakery industry, and HayssenSandiacre’s reputation for producing packaging machines of superior quality,” said Rollo Thompson, managing director at Continental Fine Foods/Yorkshire Baker, who’s parent company is Cranswick.
“The machines are extremely well built and lend themselves well to our working environment. We didn’t want to stop production, so it was great that HayssenSandiacre offered us the opportunity to loan two machines for the duration of the new machine build.”
Rose Forgrove has produced flow wrapping equipment since 1967, and claims to distinguish itself through engineering that focuses on delivering performance, functionality, durability and ease of operation.
Cranswick was originally a producer of cooked meats, now also produces premium pastry products such as sausage rolls and pies.
